Hip Hop Dance is a style of movement characterized by bounces and rocks executed to Hip Hop music. It has deep historical and social roots in Black culture, having birth roots in the Bronx, NY in Black and Latino communities during 1970s. While frequently referred to as a singular dance style, Hip Hop dance is part of a whole culture of Hip Hop.
These classes consist of our Rising Star and Shining Star classes. In these classes your tiny dancer will be invited to move and explore the space while being introduced to ballet terminology. We incorporate creative ways to recognize and cultivate flexibility, while engaging and strengthening muscles in a safe manner.
If our tiny dancers are not potty trained, they must have a parent nearby for assistance.
*Please try and make sure your dancer goes potty before class to decrease the amount of bathroom breaks during class.*
Seasonal master classes are provided to expand the curriculum and provide the students an opportunity to learn new styles from choreographers and professionals whose talents are highly sought after.
